Herpetofauna Foundation organized an inspiring evening at Reptielenhuis de Aarde on March 21. Thanks to the large turnout, €350 was raised. Herpetofauna Foundation will double this amount to €700, which will go entirely to The Wild Snake Project.
Attendees learned about the conservation of the Atheris genus and listened to the experiences of Mirthe Aarts, who shared her research in Kenya.
What made this evening extra special was the presentation by Dickson Katana about his work with Mirthe and the distribution of Snakebite prevention kits in Kenya and Tanzania, developed by Herpetofauna Foundation.
The evening was opened by Rogier van Rossem, chairman of Herpetofauna Foundation, with a lecture on the positive list of herpetofauna. Van Rossem said: "The involvement and support of the attendees are crucial for the success of our conservation projects."
An evening full of knowledge and inspiration, with a wonderful contribution to a good cause!
