Our Big 6

Many people know Africa’s famous “Big Five”, iconic animals that capture the spirit of the wild. Inspired by that idea, the Herpetofauna Foundation proudly presents our own “Big Six”, six extraordinary reptiles and amphibians that highlight the beauty, importance and vulnerability of their species.

These rare creatures are at the heart of our conservation and education efforts. By symbolically adopting one for just €50 a year (installments available), you help provide better habitats, medical care, research and awareness campaigns.

Will you sponsor the striking gharial, the elusive Dutch fire salamander or one of the other fascinating members of our Big Six?

Your support truly makes a difference.
