It is a conservation project that is active in Peru. The forests of Peru are under constant pressure. Deforestation, wildfires, pollution and drought are unfortunately continuously visible.
As a result, the local flora and fauna are under pressure, and amphibians in particular are struggling in these conditions. Phylloland is establishing a sanctuary for monkey tree frogs from the genus “Phyllomedusa”, which are threatened with extinction.
The objective is not only to preserve the species and breed them for release into their natural habitat, but also to conduct research on their behavior and develop the best conservation strategies for the future.
The sanctuary is being created partly with our support, and the objective of herpetofauna is to remain closely involved in this project and to support the work continuously.
