Animal Event

Every year, on the first weekend of May, an annual Animal Event is held from Friday to Sunday at De Beekse Bergen in Hilvarenbeek. Best described as a large animal festival, this event is a must-visit for animal lovers of all kinds.

The Herpetofauna Foundation participates each year, introducing attendees to the fascinating world of reptiles and amphibians. At our stand, we display a variety of terrariums featuring popular pet reptiles such as leopard geckos, tortoises, and rat snakes. Visitors are also welcome to hold a reptile, like a ball python or bearded dragon, and have their photo taken with it. These animals serve as ambassadors for their endangered counterparts in the wild, helping us communicate the urgent need to protect reptiles, amphibians, and their natural habitats. Through them, we highlight the conservation projects we support and inspire action among animal lovers.
