Sterrin Smalbrugge

Sterrin Smalbrugge (1993) is a Dutch ecologist, herpetologist, author and presenter. She currently focuses on science communication and aims to educate people about animals in general, with emphasis on species that are considered 'uncharismatic' by the majority of the public. Her goal is to change people's perception of these animals in order to bring more attention, research and funds to their conservation. She has written multiple books for both children and adults, hosts numerous successful podcasts, regularly appears on television and gives talks for a wide variety of audiences to achieve her mission. She is also the ambassador of National Geographic Junior and a member of Jane Goodall's Circle of Hope.
