Naia Hannah Haast

Naia Hannah (meaning “blooming flower” and which, in the 1950’s, was also the scientific name for the King Cobra) is the eldest daughter of Bill and Clarita Haast. She grew up in Miami Florida in wonderfully unique surroundings; the Miami Serpentarium.
She moved to California and enjoyed being involved with theater and film productions for many years. Now living in Connecticut, she and her husband run a vintage VW business that definitely has an eclectic flare.
Always designing and creating, several years ago she discovered a medium that feels limitless: designing one of a kind, completely hand made, tooled leather products, each capturing the beauty and expression of exotic and endangered animals.
Family is her deepest value; her amazing mother, wonderful sister, supportive husband, and her daughter (who is her cherished champion as well as her most trustworthy muse) all contribute to her immeasurable love and strength.
How the King Cobra Conservancy began: Inspired by her mother, and in loving memory of her father, Naia founded the King Cobra Conservancy in 2016. With the support of an amazing team, and the sincere interest of people globally, the KCC has rapidly grown and is now supporting King Cobra research projects around the world.
